The Importance of Genealogy
"You can't know who you are
until you know where you came from."
Those
words from the television show, "Who do You Think You Are?" led to my research into my own family history. In just a
little over one year, I went from knowing only that my grandfather was from France with no idea as to what part of France
or any detail of his life, to this, the
Mialocq Family Tree.
My story can best be told by simply sending you to

and I'm a diligent and tireless researcher. As a result of my own research experiences, I now realize how important
it is in our daily lives to understand who we are and why we are that way. A look into your ancestry can provide the
answers. I can't believe that this subject is not taught in our schools.
Access
to ancestry.com allows me to research many areas of the world, but my specialty is the Aquitaine region of southern France.
It is there that I found the initial information that eventually led me (with the help of several other genealogical resources,
most in Europe) to nine generations of my family spanning over 400 years.

If you want to locate as much of your entire family history as possible,
I will put forth my best effort to assemble a family tree with your ancestors and a comprehensive report listing all
the detailed findings. Copies of census reports, military records and any documents used in gathering data will be included.
I specialize in gathering more than the basic information on your ancestors. I will attempt to provide a personal look at
your ancestor's life, if possible. I offer a wide array of services to fit your individual needs. Everyone's situation is different.
The initial consultation is free and my rates are very affordable and designed mainly just to cover my expenses.
There
is no charge if I am unable to find anything, which is a rare occurrence. Otherwise, my rates are $50 for a simple 4-generation
tree., and/or additional services can be negotiated on a project by project basis.
